Hummus

Ingredients

  • 2 19 oz cans chick peas rinsed and drained
  • 2 oz vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 4 oz tahini
  • 5 oz lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor. Let it run for 5-7 minutes until the hummus is very smooth and warm to the touch. Adjust seasonings to taste. If it is too thick, add more water, lemon juice or reserved liquid from the chick peas.

    Serve with extra virgin olive oil and a sprinkle of cumin.
